PRACTICAL EXPERIENCE IS A MUST.
PRE-REQUISITE:
International Fitness Test. FULL Member.
ESSENTIAL:
Operational Deployments (this is not atheoretical position)
ALSO
Successfully Completed the SAR TechTraining (2 to 3 Days.)

DESIRABLE:
Survival Training, Advanced MOSS, Usuallyat least 1 International deployment / exercise, Specialist skills as per theERT SAR Skills Matrix.
RESCUE:
2 Subjects at Technician (L3) (i.e., Rope & Water) and additionalskills / training. On going.
MEDICAL:
Minimum First Responder, Red Cross EMR orEMT Basic / First Aid and CPR - preferably in austere environments, De-FIB,Medical Gases, C-Spine, SAR Medical.
NOTES:
· Second Level of the RESCUE UNIT
- · Can resolve several complex SAR Emergencies in many disciplines as part of a team
- · ALL Rescue Techs exerciseregularly
- · Complete the STC L3 more than once
- · Can bull their boots to a highshine,
- · Specialist Rescue and Tech.Rescue are used interchangeably in this context.
- · Uniform and Kit checked
- · Possess some of their own kit
- The group meets Bi-Annually and re-certifies annually.
All members are active. This position can be lost of attendance and minimums are not maintained. Members can also 'step down' from SAR Tech commitment and remain a full-members of ERT SAR.
Membership of SAR TECHs is not automatic and renewed annually.
CERTIFICATE: ERT SAR Awards a Certificate for attaining this position
